2011年11月11日，歌曲的音乐录影带正式发布。歌曲的音乐录影带带的开篇，佩里扮演的一位年长的女性，即女主角在家中缓慢行走，她漫不经心地来到她的丈夫跟前，因为他们的婚姻并非出自真爱。女主角在泡咖啡之时，出于对现状的不悦，她开始回忆起过去她与她的艺术家恋人在一起的快乐时光。歌曲声响起后，画面中出现了一位少女和她的男友在互画对方的场景，随后，他们一起参加派对，互相画着爱的文身，十分幸福快乐。

随后，画面又回到了女主角年老时期上。女主角坐在豪华的卧室里面，面带伤感。随后，她回忆起了当时的她和男友争吵的画面，争吵当中的女主角非常生气，甚至将红色颜料泼到了男友刚完成好的画作上，而男友一气之下开车离开了她。随后，年少的女主角和年长的女主角一起出现在年老的女主角的卧室唱歌，不久，年老的女主角开着与年轻时男友相同类型的车离开了家。

画面又切回了过去。男友拿出了他头顶的太阳帽找到了年轻时女主角与他参加派对时戴的面纱。他盯着面纱看了许久，打算与女主角和好。然而，他没有注意到路上有一块巨石，因此他因车祸身亡。年轻时的女主角知道这个消息后也近乎崩溃，歌曲声随着紧急刹车声消失。

不久后，约翰尼·卡什翻唱版本的 "You Are My Sunshine（英语：You Are My Sunshine）"歌声响起，年老的女主角开车来到了她男友失事的地方，倚靠在悬崖边的栏杆上。幻境中，男友的灵魂出现了，两人紧握着对方的双手，手上的文身刚好拼成一对。约翰尼·卡什的音乐停止后，男友也随之消失，女主角转身，静静地离开了悬崖边，整个音乐录影带结束。
