瑞典國家銀行紀念阿爾弗雷德·諾貝爾經濟學獎，一般通稱諾貝爾經濟學獎、瑞典銀行經濟學獎[1]。此獎項並不屬於諾貝爾遺囑中所提到的五大獎勵領域之一，而是由瑞典國家銀行在1968年為紀念諾貝爾而增設的，其評選標準與其它獎項是相同的，獲獎者由瑞典皇家科學院評選，1969年（該銀行的300週年慶典）第一次頒獎，由挪威人朗納·弗里施和荷蘭人簡·丁伯根共同獲得。

與諾貝爾獎的關係 [编辑]
經濟學獎在評選階段、授獎儀式方面，與諾貝爾獎完全相同。[2] 獎項由瑞典皇家科學院每年頒發一次，遵循「對人類利益做出最大貢獻」的原則給獎。[3]
瑞典國家銀行紀念阿爾弗雷德·諾貝爾經濟學獎，是唯一一個由諾貝爾基金會官方頒發的「非諾貝爾獎」（non-Nobel Prize）。亦即，它是「紀念諾貝爾（的）經濟學獎」、「諾貝爾經濟學獎」，但：
- 狹義上不等於諾貝爾獎。
- 但也並非不是諾貝爾獎。
據此，幾乎所有嚴格的學術機構，都將經濟學獎得主視為「諾貝爾獎得主」（Nobel Prize winners）之一，如倫敦政經學院、[4]麻省理工學院[5]以及哈佛大學[6]。

截至2008年為止，約有60％的經濟學獎得主是美國公民（包括以出生地、歸化途逕取得美國國籍者），只有四名得主來自美國或西歐以外的地區。
2009年，埃莉諾·奧斯特羅姆成為首位女性經濟學獎得主。在此之前，其它五項諾貝爾獎皆已產生女性得主。

質疑 [编辑]
經濟學獎常被質疑違背了諾貝爾遺囑中「對全人類做出巨大貢獻」的要求。因為，經濟學家的貢獻不見得名實相符，而獲獎最多的新古典主義學派，也不存在「處理金融災難的知識系統」。[26]
爭議 [编辑]
雖然經濟學獎在1969年設立之後，成功整合進入了諾貝爾獎的評選體系裡，但爭議輩出。包括弗里德里希·哈耶克（1974年得主）在內的四名獲獎人，皆曾經呼籲廢除此獎。哈耶克領獎時表示，倘若當年徵詢他的意見，肯定不建議設獎。
1997年，諾貝爾文學獎的評選機構（瑞典文學院）呼籲瑞典皇家科學院廢除經濟學獎。
根據諾貝爾基金會在2009年的官方立場，經濟學獎並不是諾貝爾獎。但此一聲明旋遭移除。[27]諾貝爾後人對於瑞典國家銀行的作法，也多所批評，認為這是經濟學者企圖提昇地位和聲譽的手段[1][28]，其侄孫Peter Nobel更稱有關獎項是佔諾貝爾之名的布穀鳥[29]。
