瘤拟步行虫科(学名:Zopheridae)是属于鞘翅目拟步总科的昆虫。近年来,有其他两个科被划分到本科之中,使得本科的成员数量有了相当的成长;这两个科分别是拟吉丁虫科(Monommatidae)以及细坚虫科(Colydiidae)。某些学者接受本科划分了6个亚科的系统,然而有些则将细坚虫科从本科中剔除为一独立科。本科有超过100个属群需要被重新定义;据估计在世界各地有着数百个种类。这个科没有固定使用的英文俗名,不过多数亚科都有各自传统的英文俗名,例如 ironclad beetles、cylindrical bark beetles等。至2018年为止,约有116个物种已被描述。 [1] [2]
系统分类学
[编辑]目前所使用的瘤拟步行虫科级分类元定义主要来自史利宾斯基和劳伦斯于 1999 年 基于成虫和幼生期形态所做的拟步行虫总科系统发育分析[3],近年的分子系统发育分析研究则显示本科可能并非单系群[4][5][6]。

古昆虫学
[编辑]目前所知的瘤拟步行虫科化石纪录相当稀少,多数化石纪录来自波罗的海琥珀(始新世)[8][9][10],最早的化石纪录为来自上白垩纪缅甸琥珀的 Paleoendeitoma antennata、Paleoendeitoma minuta(属于细坚虫亚科 Colydiinae)和 Cretomysteria burmanica (亚科未定论)[11]。
