北方五角龍（學名：Pentaceratops aquilonius）是五角龍的一個可疑物種，生存於大約7500萬至7300萬年前晚白堊世（坎帕階後期）的北美，^[1]由尼古拉斯·朗里奇（Nicholas Longrich）於2014年根據20世紀30年代在加拿大梅尼伯里斯（Manyberries）附近發現的零碎化石所命名。據報導，該物種的第一個頂骨葉指向上方而不是向前。^[2]2016年，Mallon等人發現北方五角龍在形態上與釘盾龍相似，可能是同一物種，宣布該物種是個疑名。^[3]

朗里奇指出，五角龍的正模標本和歸入北方五角龍的標本都涵蓋在五角龍屬的鑑定範圍內，後者的系統發育位置與模式種斯氏五角龍非常近，而猶他角龍的位置並不意味著該屬是並系群，因為沒有要求規定該屬必須是單系群。威廉福克的開角龍亞科不同於五角龍和猶他角龍，可能是一個新屬。^[4]
