Midjourney是一個由同名研究實驗室開發的人工智慧程式，可根據文字生成圖像[1][2]，於2022年7月12日進入公開測試階段[3]，使用者可透過Discord的機器人指令進行操作[4]。該研究實驗室由Leap Motion的創辦人大衛·霍爾茲（David Holz）負責領導[5]。
模型[編輯]
Midjourney一直在努力改進其演算法，並每隔幾個月發布新的模型版本。他們的演算法第二版於2022年4月推出[6]，第三版於7月25日發布。[7] 2022年11月5日，第四版的alpha迭代版發布給使用者使用[8][9]，第五版的alpha迭代版於2023年3月15日發布。[10]

封鎖習近平的圖像生成[編輯]
2023年3月，大衛·霍爾茲表示，為防止中國政府可能因為習近平的諷刺圖像而封鎖Midjourney，Midjourney已經阻止了習近平圖像的生成。霍爾茲說：「中國人使用這項技術的能力比你生成諷刺作品的能力更重要。」[11]
