中鬣狗科（Percrocutidae）是猫型亚目下已灭绝的一科。它们发展出像鬣狗的特征，估计有著相同的生态位。首个发现的中鬣狗科是中鬣狗类，属于中新世中期的欧洲及西亚洲。中鬣狗类已经拥有大的前臼齿，但却不及后期的巨鬣狗般巨大。

中鬣狗科最初是与鬣狗一同分类在鬣狗科中。现时大部份学者都认为中鬣狗科已经灭绝，纵然有时会将它们与其他的食肉目，如Stenoplesictis组成Stenoplesictidae。
