Google Currents（原名为Google+ for G Suite）是Google公司为企业内部交流而开发的软件，^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]构成Google的G Suite产品系列的众多产品之一。^[6]

Google Currents和已下线的Google潮流同步^{[註 1]}没有任何关系，后者从2011年到2013年为用户提供了众多电子杂志。^[7]^[8]

前身

2011年6月底，Google公司推出社交网络服务Google+。虽然Google野心勃勃，企图以此打败竞争对手Facebook，成为第一大社交网站^[9]^[10]，并且在2013年1月份，曾超越Twitter，一度成為世界上第二大的社交網站。^[11]但在之后的几年，其用户参与度低，加上早於2018年3月发现的可能會導致數十萬名的使用者資料外洩潛在的軟體漏洞^{[註 2]}，^[14]Google决定在2019年4月2日关停消费者（个人用户）版本的Google+。个人用户可以在关停前下載並遷移他們的資訊，但保留企業版。^[15]^[16]

产品发展

最初，此产品名为Google+ for G Suite，是Google+的唯一遗留。2019年4月10日，Google+ for G Suite更名为Google Currents，进入Beta测试阶段。^[17]^[18]^[19]^[20]2020年7月6日，Google Currents正式上线。 ^[21]^[22]^[23]
