雷神翼龙属（属名：Tupandactylus，意为“雷神 Tupã 的手指”）是翼龙目翼手龙亚目古神翼龙科的一属，化石发现于巴西的桑塔纳组（Santana Formation），年代为白垩纪早期。雷神翼龙有巨大、形状特殊的头冠，由骨头与软组织构成。
正模标本（编号MCT 1622-R）是一个几乎完整的颅骨，发现于桑塔纳组的克拉图段。这些化石最初被命名为古神翼龙的一个种，皇帝古神翼龙（Tapejara imperator）。[1]在2007年，皇帝古神翼龙被建立为新属，皇帝雷神翼龙（Tupandactylus imperator）；属名是以图皮族的雷神Tupã为名。
雷神翼龙没有牙齿，具有大型、形状奇特的头冠。头冠由颅骨延伸出的两根细长骨棒支撑者，大部分由类似角质的软组织构成。[2]

早在2006年，包含Kellner与Campos在内的研究人员，认为古神翼龙的三个种具有不同的特征，足以成立个别的属。但建立新属的过程中出现争议。Kellner与Campos认为只有皇帝古神翼龙可以建立新属，因此在2007年建立了雷神翼龙。[2]同年，大卫·安文（David Unwin）与D. M. Martill认为古神翼龙的T. navigans，其实亲缘关系更接近雷神翼龙，而非古神翼龙，因此也可以成立新的属。在一场表扬彼得·沃尔赫费尔（Peter Wellnhofer）的研讨会上，安文与Martill宣布新的属名Ingridia，以沃尔赫费尔的亡妻Ingrid为名。但当他们正式在期刊上公布这名称时，却把模式种的学名标名为I. imperator，并加了另外一种I. navigans。[3]Kellner与Campos的雷神翼龙研究，比安文与Martill的Ingridia研究早了数个月公布。由于两组人员都使用imperator作为模式种，因此Ingridia成为雷神翼龙的次客观异名。[4]
