不寧腿綜合症(英語:Restless legs syndrome, RLS),又稱睡眠肢動症睡眠腿動症不安腿综合征不寧腿症候群Willis-Ekbom病Wittmaack-Ekbom症候群等,是一個會驅使患者去移動他的腳的疾患。[2] 這種被驅動的感覺並不好忍受,除非患者任由他的腳被驅使。 有時候,手臂也會出現不寧腿綜合症

這種被驅動的感覺,可能常常出現在患者想要休息的時候,因此可能讓患者很難入睡

因為睡眠品質受到影響,患有RLS的人可能會出現:白天打瞌睡、白天的時候缺乏活力、敏感焦躁、易怒(irritability)和抑郁(depressed mood)[2]

除此之外,多數患者還會遇到睡眠途中肢體(手腳)抽搐英语periodic limb movement disorder(limb twitching during sleep)的問題。 [7]

已知最早对于不寧腿綜合徵的描述是于1672年由托马斯·威里司所作。[82] 威里司强调具有不寧腿綜合徵的人群会睡觉中断并且具有肢体动作。这个最初用拉丁文发表(《The London Practice of Physick》,1685年)

争议[编辑]

一些医生表示不寧腿綜合徵的症状过去曾被一些制药公司夸大。[90] 其他人认为这是一种被低估和未得到治疗的疾病。[74] 此外,葛蘭素史克还制作了一些广告。虽然没有推广使用他们的药物来治疗不寧腿綜合徵,但是这个广告可以链接到一个支持Ekbom小组的网站。该网站建议使用罗匹尼罗来治疗不寧腿綜合徵。英国制药工业协会对葛兰素史克这种方式表示反对。[91]
