德克萨斯中央铁路是一條由Texas Central Partners, LLC規劃的高速鐵路線並將串聯德州最大的兩個都市 達拉斯–沃斯堡都會區以及休士頓。該鐵路將運用 東海旅客鐵道[3] 的相關技術並將縮短兩地之間的旅程到僅有90分鐘。[4][5] 倘若該鐵道順利完成建設的話將會是繼 Acela特快之後美國高速鐵路以及第一條具有專用路軌的美國高速鐵路。
路線
2015年8月10日,美國美國運輸部和聯邦鐵路總署出具一份報告並正式批准這條稱之為"utility corridor"的鐵路興建計畫。[6]
該路線的路軌將大致與290號公路--Hempstead Highway以及以一條貨運鐵道平行的模式進入休士頓市區。除了頭尾兩站之外原先還預計將在布拉索斯郡設站以服務鄰近的德克薩斯州農工大學但遭到當地市政府反對。
2018年1月,該公司正式公布達拉斯站選站計畫並將在西達斯郡西側設立終點站以及一座連接達拉斯會議中心的行人穿越道,而該計畫也是依據聯邦鐵路總署依據環境影響評估報告建議的位置進行規劃。
使用車種
該路線將選用出口版的新幹線N700系電聯車作為營運車輛。[7] 該車輛與日本新幹線不一樣的是將僅有八節車廂而非十六節車廂以符合營運需求。[8]
承包商與建設計畫
2017年1月,川普政府將該計畫列為國家基礎建設優先計畫之一。[9]

營運進度
目前該公司還在就依據國家環境政策法規定須進行的環境影響評估細節與聯邦鐵路總署、德克薩斯州運輸部等政府部門進行後續作業程序。[10]不過就初期的人事規劃來看,執行長Tim Keith將負責該公司的財政、開發、營運以及日常運轉。
2015年7月,該公司表示已經獲得7500萬美元的私募基金並將有助於該公司持續推進該公司經營但資金來源為何尚屬未知。[11]
2020年9月,联邦铁路管理局发布了对德克萨斯州中部铁路公司的特定适用性最终规则(RPA)和决策记录(ROD)[12][13]
