1988年7月16日與 Tracy Pollan 在美國佛蒙特州阿靈頓鎮結婚，育有一子三女：山姆·麥可（Sam Michael）（1989年5月30日出生）、雙胞胎愛桂娜·凱絲琳（Aquinnah Kathleen）與史凱勒·法蘭西絲（Schuyler Frances）（1994年2月15日出生）和愛絲梅·安娜貝爾（Esmé Annabelle）（2001年11月3日出生）。
在1991年被診斷患上了帕金森氏症，在1998年公開病情，因病況逐漸嚴重已半退出演藝圈。
