Pixel 4a及Pixel 4a (5G)是由Google發布的Android智慧型手機，為Pixel 4系列的對應中階配置機型，同時也是繼Pixel 3a系列後，Google推出的又一款中階配置Pixel手機[3][4]。其中Pixel 4a於2020年8月3日正式公布，並於8月20日開始在全球部分國家和地區正式發售[5]。而Pixel 4a (5G)則於2020年9月30日正式公布，並於2020年10月15日開始在部分國家和地區發售，這是Google首次推出支援5G的中階價位手機[6]。和過往Google Pixel系列機型不同的是，Pixel 4a沒有對應的XL版本[7]。

Pixel 4a原計劃在2020年5月中旬進行的Google I/O大會上發布，然而受2019冠狀病毒病疫情影響，Google決定取消2020年I/O大會，Pixel 4a的發布也被迫延期[8]。

從2020年開始，Google將Pixel系列中階價位機型的生產線由中國大陸遷至越南，該機型也成為Pixel系列首個主要在越南生產及組裝的機型[9]。

與過往Google Pixel系列機型各提供三種不同顏色版本的是，Pixel 4a僅有「純粹黑」（Just Black，電源按鈕為薄荷綠）和「剛好藍」（Barely Blue，電源按鈕為橙色）兩種顏色版本[10][11]，Pixel 4a (5G)則僅有「純粹黑」（Just Black，電源按鈕為淡紫色）和「就是白」（Clearly White，電源按鈕為薄荷綠）兩種顏色版本[12]。[13]該系列機型正面採用左上角單挖孔全螢幕設計，背面及側面使用聚碳酸酯材質。螢幕材質方面，該系列兩款機型採用的並非Pixel 3a系列的旭硝子Dragontrail，而是康寧大猩猩玻璃3[12][14][15]。螢幕規格方面，Pixel 4a的尺寸為5.81英寸，Pixel 4a (5G)則為6.2英寸，兩款手機的螢幕高寬比均為19.5:9。[16][17]

Pixel 4a搭載高通驍龍730G、6GB記憶體以及128GB的手機內部儲存空間，並配備容量為3140mAh的電池；Pixel 4a (5G)則搭載高通驍龍765G、6GB記憶體以及128GB的手機內部儲存空間，並配備容量為3885mAh的電池[18]。與Pixel 4系列不同的是，該系列手機既不支援無線充電，也不防水，同時也沒有搭載「Pixel神經核心（Pixel Neural Core）」晶片、用於Motion Sense手勢辨識的Project Soli雷達感應器以及用於啟動Google助理的Active Edge邊框擠壓感測器，但保留Pixel 2系列開始缺失的3.5毫米音訊介面以及Pixel 4系列缺失的背部指紋辨識感測器。[12][16][19][20][21][22]兩款手機底部均包含可用於充電及連接其他裝置的USB-C介面以及揚聲器[23]。

Pixel 4a系列採用FHD+OLED螢幕，解析度為1080P，和Pixel 4系列不同的是，該系列機型並不支援90Hz重新整理頻率[16][24][25]。

Pixel 4a (5G)與Pixel 4a相比，新增對5G網路的支援，Pixel 4a (5G)也因此與Pixel 5一併成為Google推出的首批支援5G網路的機型[26]，然而Pixel 4a (5G)非合約機版本僅支援6GHz以下頻段，額外提供毫米波支援的版本機型為Verizon合約機，僅在美國發售。[27]

Pixel 4a系列的後置網路攝影機模組對應Pixel 4系列的設計，同樣使用方形模組，其中Pixel 4a拍攝模組內僅配備一個1220萬像素的網路攝影機和一個閃光燈，Pixel 4a (5G)拍攝模組內則配備一個1220萬像素網路攝影機、一個1600萬像素網路攝影機、一個閃光燈和一個感測器[28]。兩款機型的前置網路攝影機均為800萬像素，位於螢幕左上方的挖孔區域中。[15]Pixel 4a在拍攝方面的特性與Pixel 4系列大致上相同，然而受硬體限制，Pixel 4a在拍攝表現上和Pixel 4系列相比存在一定差距[29][30]。Pixel 4a (5G)則在前代Pixel手機既有特性的基礎上，額外新增超廣角拍攝及電影運鏡功能[31]。拍攝影格率方面，Pixel 4a在1080P解析度下僅支援最大120訊框錄製，4K下僅支援30訊框錄製[32]；Pixel 4a (5G)在1080P解析度下支援最大240訊框錄製，4K下支援最大60訊框錄製[33]。

Pixel 4a (5G)剛推出時，兩個後置網路攝影機均支援天文攝影模式，然而Google在2020年11月的更新當中移除了對超廣角鏡頭天文攝影的支援，致使該手機的使用者只能在大於或等於1倍的變焦設定上使用天文攝影模式[34]。

Pixel 4a的出廠原裝系統為Android 10，Pixel 4a (5G)則為Android 11[35]。Google計劃為該系列手機提供三年的系統更新支援。應用方面，該系列手機與Pixel 4系列同樣預裝Google Recorder以及新版Google助理。[23][36]
