十四烷基硫代乙酸TTA)是一種合成脂肪酸,可用作營養補充劑。

TTA是過氧化物酶體增殖物激活受體α英語peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha(PPARα)激動劑,在體外加快線粒體脂肪酸的氧化。[1]根據齧齒類動物實驗的報道,TTA也有其他作用,比如減少炎症[2],以及預防高脂肪飲食引起的肥胖和胰島素抗性。[3]

在人體臨床研究中,初步研究的觀察結果不一致。一項Ⅰ期研究顯示血脂或游離脂肪酸沒有顯着變化[4],另一項研究則表明TTA可以減輕二型糖尿病患者的血脂異常[1]
