千禧年前论(英语:Premillennialism)是终末论的理论之一,相信耶稣的肉身将要再临地上,开始祂千年国的统治。被称为“千禧年前论”,是因为它认为耶稣再临将会发生在千年国开始之前。与千禧年后论postmillennialism)或无千禧年论amillennialism)等其他终末论不同,前者认为耶稣再临将会发生在千年国开始之后,而后者认为千禧年只是象征性的。

千禧年前论主要基于对新约启示录20:1-6的字面解释,该段描述耶稣再临地上,在大灾难末期开始千年国的统治。千禧年前论者认为这是从旧约以来,将要应验给予神子民的应许。其他解释如东正教则声称,启示录这段是描述基督统治天堂的现在,这样的解释认为启示录的象征是指一个属灵的争战,而不是在地上的物理战斗。无千禧年论者解释千禧年为一段象征性的时期,例如认为千禧年代表神对祂的创造或教会的统治,这与启示录本身启示体裁的高象征性一致。

从1790年到19世纪中叶,千禧年前论在英国福音派,甚至在圣公会内相当普遍。[2] 在19世纪,千禧年前论在美国和英国仍被广泛接受,特别是在欧文派英语Catholic Apostolic ChurchIrvingites[3]普利茅斯弟兄会耶和华见证人基督弟兄会 [4]召会基督复临安息日会[5]中。在20世纪和21世纪,千禧年前论在福音派、基要派、和Living Church of God[6]仍很普遍,并且扩展到亚洲非洲南美洲的教会。
