網絡攝像頭模特是指在互聯網上通過網絡攝像頭進行色情直播的人[1]。她們經常在網絡攝像頭前暴露自己的隱私部位，如跳脫衣舞、自慰或與他人性交，目的是獲得觀眾的各種斗內（從觀眾那裡獲得金錢以及虛擬物品）[2][3]。她們還將這些直播視頻錄製下來出售給他人。與其他性工作者不同，網絡攝像頭模特僅在線上活動[1][4]。
許多網絡攝像頭模特通常在自己的家中對著網路攝影機進行色情直播，直播期間她們可以自行掌控是否要暴露自己的隱私部位[5]。儘管大多數人會裸露自己的生殖器官、乳頭或乾脆全裸，但也有些人選擇穿著衣服，只和觀眾線上聊天或者自言自語，同時仍然希望觀眾能捐款贊助[6]。網絡攝像頭模特一般以女性居多[7]。
